IMPACT Community Health Services (ICHS) will use vital funding from the Gladstone Regional Council for a master planning project at Agnes Water.
Earlier this month, Council confirmed ICHS as one of two recipients in this year's Community Investment Program - Strategic Projects Fund.
ICHS was awarded $56,000, which will be used to develop a comprehensive master plan that addresses the growing needs of the community, ensuring that health services are accessible, efficient, and sustainable.
ICHS delivers primary healthcare to residents across the Discovery Coast from the Rafting Ground Road health precinct.
Last year, ICHS introduced a GP-led integrated health service as part of its ongoing commitment to improve health service delivery in the region.
Pamela Mackie, Practice Manager at IMPACT Community Health Services, thanked Council for its proactive approach.
“We are incredibly grateful for this funding, which will allow us to strategically plan for the future of our health services. This master plan will be instrumental in guiding our efforts to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community,” she said.
"We are thankful that Council recognised the level of community support and investment in our project."
ICHS looks forward to sharing updates on the progress of this important project.
IMPACT Community Services' Board has committed to exploring new ways to deliver effective health service as part of the organisations’ strategic priorities.
As well as the GP-led clinic, ICHS has introduced an Advisory Group with community input to ensure future development aligns to community need.
